Mary Lou Steinberg, who's collages are on exhibit at "Something Special" gallery in Kingston, PA. Mary Beth will exhibit 12 - 14 pieces along with two other women, a ceramist and a jewelry maker. Sanford Sigall, who's colored pencil work is on exhibit, through September 30, in the public area of the office of State Representative Mario Scavello in Mt. Pocono, PA. Sharing Charles Kerstetter gave a demonstration, at the July 12 meeting, of using watercolor pencil over graphite pencil. The technique entails doing an initial drawing in graphite. The entire paper is then coated with a layer of Liquitex clear gesso, diluted with 1/3 water. The Liquitex provides an excellent tooth for applying the watercolor pencil to finish the drawing. Charles also showed some of his completed work using this technique. Mary Beth Lesko visited the Dick Blick store in Allentown, PA and discussed a field trip to the store, to include a demonstration by an art material distributer and an exhibit. The store manager was enthusiastic about the idea and details, including a date, are to be worked out. The trip may also include a visit to Allentown's art museum and dining out. Barbara Baker shared postcards from Ann Kullberg about her upcoming cruise workshop to Mexico. Sabine announced that a new art store, "Art Matter", will be opening soon in Kingston, PA.
