Click on the following link for some beautiful wedding pictures: http://www.mlproductions.net/blog news from the may 10th dc 115 meeting As noted earlier, all meetings for the remainder of 2008 will be held at the Hoyt Library in Kingston, PA. The schedule for the remainder of this year can be found on the Calendar page. The chapter's new officers were confirmed at the meeting. They are: Barbara Baker, President / Mary Beth Lesko, Vice President / Mary Lou Steinberg, Treasurer / Nanette Bozentka, Secretary. Sabine Thomas was also confirmed as Chairperson of Membership. DC 115 will donate $25.00 to the Fine Arts Fiesta to be awarded to a teen student for a colored pencil work. Sabine Thomas is working on the details for a retreat to be held at St. Gabriel's Retreat House on October 17, 18 and 19. We will post more information as it becomes available. Barbara Baker brought samples and prices for RTISTX art panels. They are similar to Colourfix and Ampersand boards. However, their RTX 300 panel's tooth is specifically formulated for colored pencil use. For details on their complete product line visit their website at: http://www.rtistx.com Mary Beth Lesko presented information about a show at EMCA, Endless Mountain Council for the Arts. If you are interested in entering the competition, artwork is due July 11, 12 and 13. Full details and entry form can be printed out at: http://emca.emcs.net Barbara Baler is looking into having a DC 115 group show at Faustina's Gallery in Lewisburg, PA next year. She will have more information at our next meeting on July 12. Mary Beth Lesko has agreed to represent our chapter at the Seattle convention in lieu of Barbara Baker, who is unable to attend this year. Mary Beth suggested that our members consider doing Artist Trading Cards as a great group project. For a number of reasons, we had a very small turnout at the last meeting. Let's all make every effort to attend on July 12. congratulations to shawn falchetti Shawn's beautiful colored pencil piece, "Cascade", has been accepted into the CPSA's 16th Annual International Exhibition.
